Moon Goddess blessing: the moon goddess blessing is a ceremony wherein the red tent members call upon the great mother to bless newborn or infant children. This ceremony is similar to a to a baptism, but instead of water, the child is blessed with the energy of our beloved mother moon, so they may have a prosperous life.
Ascending Phoenix First Moon ceremony: Many young womxn are confused and often quite nervous when they experience their first moon time, or come to the part of their journey where moon time may have been. The first moon ceremony is a spiritual rebirth of sorts, wherein the young womxn is celebrated and taught about her changing body by the other womxn of the circle. Since not all womxn menstruate, and often times they find us after their first moon time, this ceremony is also offered in a way that celebrates the individual womxn without the mention of "moon time" in it's traditional sense. For both types of ceremonies, the young womxn is celebrated and adorned with phoenix symbolism, and will rise from the ash, reborn anew!
"I am the Phoenix" Affirmation of Womxnhood: This ritual is held for our trans spectrum sisters, and is meant to be an affirmation of womxnhood! During this ritual, the circle matriarch introduces the sister being celebrated by her chosen name, and announces her (similar to a baby naming ceremony), allowing her to stand in all her glory. This ceremony can be for a sister of any age, and is written for each individual sister.
Descending Phoenix Last Moon ceremony: there comes a time when some womxn's moon time ends, or they simply pass into their cronehood. In this ceremony, we celebrate our changing bodies, and the wisdom that we have gained through our years. The womxn in this ceremony are surrounded in phoenix symbolism, and rise from the ashes, born anew, and revered as crones and respected elders within the circle and the community.
