What is a dedicant?
A dedicant is someone who has entered into a sacred contract with a teacher or group, who wishes to learn and grow as a witch, and in their devotion. Dedication is the first step towards formal membership, and as such, persons who choose to walk the path and join the coven must do so only of their own free will. The vows a dedicant takes are not something to think light of, and are sacred to our practice. During the dedication, dedicants learn about the church, the gods, and our practices within; they also start becoming acquainted with the specific practices of the coven and its leaders. This is done to prepare the dedicant for their spiritual journey and help them ease into coven life |
Why do I need to be eighteen to dedicate to the Covenant?
