Prayer to the Goddess

For she is the light of life
The pulsing womb that bore us
The love that’s grown in fertile soil
And beating of the drum that rings in our hearts

She is the moon and the mother
Who loves every soul
For we are her children
Whom she doth provide with a bounty of holy sustenance

Oh great mother
Goddess of all that has ever been and will ever be
Hear us now,
The children born of your light

Bless our cakes
And bless our ale
Be now a part of or circle
And witness to our sacred rites

For all acts of love and pleasure are your worship
And all within our circle seek to know light and love
For yours is blood that runneth through our veins
And the stars that bore our flesh
